Halloween really does have to be prime time for Dracula and all his Vampire friends or fiends. Vampires hit superstardom with the 1897 publication of Dracula by Bram Stoker. In 1922 the film Nosferatu was released to critical acclaim. Since then there have been hundreds of vampire movies most notably the incredibly elegant and stylish Interview With A Vampire in 1994.
Our friends at www.fancydress.com are spearheading a campaign against fancy dress vampires with white make-up. Apparently this should be avoided as white faces are clown-like. They suggest a colour called old age, this washes out the skin tone and makes you sallow and grey.
Key for a vampire are fangs and blood. www.fancydress.com stocks the best of both. Their fangs have a moulding material that makes an exact fit onto your own incisors. Their blood is very dark and thick and is sugar-based so you can dribble it from the side of your mouth, mummm, yummy!
